Thursday Late – A Window On… Rare Earths

Thursday Late - A Window On… Rare Earths
Thursday 30 November, 6 – 7.30pm

Artists Lise Autogena and Joshua Portway will present their film Kuannersuit; Kvanefjeld (2016), a work-in-progress, forming the first part of the artists’ long-term investigation into the conflicts facing the community of Narsaq in southern Greenland. Narsaq is located next to the pristine Kvanefield Mountain, site of one of the richest rare earth mineral resources in the world, and the fifth largest uranium deposit. The screening will be followed by a Q&A.

This Thursday Late coincides with the open studio for our artist in residence Tzu-Ting Wang from Taipei Artist Village, Taiwan.
