Are you aged 14 – 19, creative and interested in developing a career in the arts?
YouthLab is a free 5 day Summer School run by Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art.
Using our unique position to provide a space where you can learn alongside both local and international arts professionals and artists. You will be taught through a mixture of practical workshops, cultural trips, group activities, creative practice and artist talks. As part of this you will spend one session at MadLab experimenting with the latest in digital technology.
Each session is planned and led by an experienced workshop leader. On completion of YouthLab you will attain a Bronze Arts Award, which is a nationally recognised certificate of achievement that can be used in future university and job applications.

YouthLab runs from Monday 6 August to Friday 10 August, 10am to 3pm and is open to anyone aged 14-19.
No experience is required and is free, we also provide a travel bursary of £4 per day to get you to the gallery! (For more information on how to find us click the link here)

YOUTHLAB TASTER WORKSHOP
Saturday 21 July, 12pm to 4pm
At Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA), 13 Thomas Street, Manchester
Open to everybody 14-19 years, no experience required.
A free, drop-in any time workshop where you can discover and explore contemporary styles of painting, and have a go yourself trying out some new techniques in this fun, informal hands on activity.
This session will also introduce our upcoming YouthLab 5-day programme, which will take place at the gallery in the first week of August during the school holidays.
